Glasfurds upstream extension was made late 2025 and early 2026 by the Space Miners.
The original dig was tackeled by digging a deep trench all the way from the main chamber up to and though the muddy ducks into Geoffs chamber and Southworths chamber, the latter being the furthest point reached by J Southworth in ####.
The trench removed both ducks and enabled Space Miners Tim Allen and Dave Gledhill to tackle the next low arch without it sumping. the arch was dug in squalid conditions for a couple of meters and then a right turn was made.
An upward hole was then dug though calcite following a huge echo, this was the breaktough point into the extensions.
